Paul and Janice Hatch family

It has been an eventful year for our family. Janice and I celebrated our 25th anniversary in June 2004 by taking a honeymoon (we never had one) toMazatlan. It was a memorable way to celebrate.

Sarah met a great young man, Nathan Gilchrist last year. He finished his masters degree in audiology at U. of A. in May. Sarah and "Nate" decided to wed so Sarah resigned her teaching position in Vail, Arizona, sold her home and the two married on July 16, 2005 in the Denver Temple. They have a lovely home in Los Lunas, NM near Albuquerque where Nate works. They are having a great time making a house a home and preparing to fill the house with little Gilchrists at some future time. We love Nate and are very happy for them.

Amy had surgery last year to remove a large fibroid tumor that has been bothering her since her teens. She just received clearance from her doctorto have children as the incision has completely healed without complications. She and Kris are looking forward to a future "French Fry" (my term). If they have a boy, he will be called Boston Kristopher afterKris and his favorite team, the Red Sox. If it they have a girl, they are thinking Ella Bleu. Amy likes that one. On a sad note, Kris´mother, Terry, has been diagnosed with lung cancer in the past couple of weeks. I know that your prayers will be appreciated as she begins treatment.

Eric returned home from his mission in Lansing, Michigan on July 6, 2005. We had a very nice Paul and Janice Hatch family reunion here where we enjoyed good food, good company and activites such as water skiing, volleyball, home run contests, movies and games. Eric is now in Tucson working with Kris and Amy and getting ready to begin college in January. He still plans to go into law enforcement, possibly the FBI. He speaks Spanish well now and was an outstanding missionary.

Keith is a Junior at the Academy. He is quarterback on the team, which should be good this year. He is in our show choir/quartets and wants to get involved in student council this year. He is a good young man with a strong testimony. He went to EFY with his cousin and two friends and they also went to Preston, Idaho to the Napoleon Dynamite celebration there where Keith won the football throw. Reid is now in 8th grade and has grown nearly a foot this past year. He is nearly as tall as Eric and is gaining on Keith. He is playing football and should begin to get more playing time on special teams. He loves to read and is sprouting socially. He may be singing a song or two with our jazzband this year. He and Keith are taking vocal lessons from Danicia Christensen (Call).
